Our Services

Cooperative preschools and parent education programs have supported Washington families for generations, offering high-quality early learning alongside education and community for parents and caregivers.

Recent changes to the state’s funding model for community and technical colleges now put these legacy programs at risk. Because parent education does not lead to a certificate or degree, it is no longer eligible for state-funded enrollment, creating uncertainty for co-op programs across the state.

In response, educators, families, and advocates are actively working to protect and sustain these legacy programs.

This page is a place to learn how you can take action and support that effort.

Public Comment

"This program saved my life as a new parent. From infants class to 4-year-old Able Learners, our daughter and I learned so much. This will be a tremendous loss to our community."
